I believe that Du Bois utilized logos well because his passage was meant to persuade and convince his audience that double consiousness explains why African Americans had little choice but to construe it that way. He also utilizes perfect diction, sentence structure and diction in order to convince his audience that he is smart! And that they should trust him, especially coming from a Harvard graduate.
